KreyNet has a policy that governs its internal working.
Abuse is not tolerated, and the rules about this are written out in our aup
Privacy
-
IRC is an ancient protocol, it is still possible to connect to the network without using SSL.
Note that the person(s) you are talking to might not use ssl (you can check this by using /whois) This implies several privacy issues which we cannot be held responsible for -
KreyNet does NOT store any messages sent, the messages will only be visible to the person or channel you have sent the message to. In case of channels, this does mean that everyone on the channel will receive a copy, with the exception for our services (they will be marked in /whois as a “god”). The services are deaf to any messages sent to a channel.
-
KreyNet does store the metadata (time of connection, ip address etc) but only for statistics and legal requirements. we do NOT use this data for anything else.
-
Note that messages sent to the services directly can be inspected/stored for debugging purposes.
-
If you register yourself to our services, we will keep a copy of all data you supply to the bot, in order to perform our services. This optionally includes your email address. This data is only used for providing you with the services
-
Under no circumstances will your data be sold, or used for anything else than what is strict required for the operation of the network
-
All accounts automatically expire. If you create an account and do not use it, we will delete all data associated with it after a while.
