Connecting to KreyNet IRC

KreyNet IRC can be accessed with a variety of IRC clients. Here are the steps to connect with Irssi and mIRC:

Irssi:

1. Download and install Irssi
2. Open a terminal/command line and run “irssi” to start the client
3. Type “/network add KreyNet” to add KreyNet as a network
4. Type “/server add -network KreyNet -tls -tls_verify irc.krey.net 6697” to add a server to the KreyNet network
5. Type “/connect KreyNet” to make the connection
6. Join channels or query users to start chatting!

mIRC:

1. Download and install mIRC
2. Open mIRC
3. Go to File -> Select Network…
4. Search for KreyNet in the list and connect
5. Pick a nickname that’s not already in use on the network
6. Join channels or query users to start chatting!

HexChat:

1. Download and install HexChat
2. Open HexChat
3. Go to Network List (Ctrl+S)
4. Click “Add”
5. Enter the following info:
6. Network Name: KreyNet
7. Server: irc.krey.net
8. Click “Add”
9. Double-click on “KreyNet” in the network list to connect
10. Pick a nickname that’s not already in use on the network
